Inge, Lauren, and Tommy visited Sala Bai and the Shinta Mani Foundation in Siem Reap to get inspiration for the Sumba Hotel School. Emanuelle Dethomas (Presidente from Agir pour le Cambodge) and Claude Colombie, director of Sala Bai, are very committed to sharing their knowledge.
Sala Bai is a very successful hotel school for already 10 years providing education for underprivileged children in Siem Reap. The Shinta Mani farming project is a very good model for the school in Sumba.
Lauren Bruggemans will run the Sumba Hotel School, opening in mid-2016. Tommy will support the curriculum with his expertise. Lauren’s father Tony Bruggemans, who has been involved since the very beginning, is also very committed to the Sumba Hotel School by sharing his years of experience and network in the Indonesian hotel industry.
