November was another busy month for the foundation! The Sumba Hotel School welcomed many guests, giving the opportunity for every student to practice and apply their skills. At one point all five guest houses were occupied, the busiest the students have been since the opening of the Hotel last month. One of the guests we were incredibly fortunate to have stayed at the school was Mrs. Petty Elliot. Mrs. Elliot is a famous Indonesian chef who, along with having written 3 cooking books, travels around the country and world promoting Indonesian Cuisine. Accompanied by her husband, Chef Elliot visited the foundation for 2 days, during which she gave a fantastic presentation about her life and passion for food, lead the culinary students through 3 meals, and inspired all students in every department to work hard.
